Baby Bear!
In february I had the opportunity to tag along with the DNR and check out a bear den...and what an awesome experience it was! The den was found by hunters who then contacted the DNR with its location using a GPS. Using the coordinates, the DNR bear study group located the den and safely sedated the mother for an overall check of health, age and to place a radio collar on her for future study. While all this was happening, not only did I photograph the events unfolding...but was able to hold them and put the three baby bears...yes three ...inside our coats to keep them warm. What fun!
Announcing our very first Spring 2010 workshop!
Tentative dates are May 23rd to the 27th!
On this workshop we will be concentrating on back yard birds with many varieties such as; chickadees, nuthatches, woodpeckers, bluebirds, orioles, and many others. We will put you in position and teach you how to take great pictures. The other portion of the workshop will include photographing baby whitetail fawns in their natural surroundings. Great pictures ...guaranteed!
Just added to the workshop is a day with some captive owls! One beautiful barn owl in particular can be photographed without any tethers including flight shots!
Food and lodging is included and participants will stay at NettieBay Lodge which is a great facility for the workshop. The food is outstanding and the menu's are set up according to our photo schedule. Oh...and did I mention the food is outstanding?
The cost for the workshop including food and lodging is $1550.00 per person. US funds.
