Color Management
My process is to scan an image, import it into Photoshop, make any necessary adjustments and send it to the printer. One of the problems I encountered when first trying to print pictures, was the colors didn't match from my monitor to the final printer output. This was very frustrating and difficult to correct. (And never could!) When I read about MonacoEZcolor, (a color management software program) and the benefits it provides, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. With this program you can calibrate your monitor, profile your scanners, and create printer profiles right down to the individual kinds of paper, as each one has slightly different characteristics. The results have been very dramatic as it takes the guess work out of matching

It
takes a great picture to print a great picture! Capturing images correctly with
film or digital is the first step in reproducing them and getting good results
on paper. Sharp focus and properly exposed images will reproduce nicely because
the proper data is there to begin with. The trick is to print the image as you
captured it.
