Book ReviewPhotoshop CS book
for Digital Photographers
Using Photoshop can be a mind-boggling experience! It can do much more than I will ever need or understand for that matter. My main interest is in using the program for processing my digital images. In my opinion, it is the # 1 choice of software available for digital photographers. Recently I upgraded to Photoshop CS, something I would highly recommend to anyone using a previous version. The changes they have made are worth the investment. Now, that being said however, it still can be a little intimidating learning all there is to know about dealing with digital files. One day I was paging through one of my photo magazines and read about a new book available titled "The Photoshop CS Book For Digital Photographers" by Scott Kellby. editor of "Photoshop User Magazine". I have purchased books by him in the past and thought this might be worth checking out. Being the hungry for information kind of person I am, I ordered the book immediately! When the book arrived I had to jump right in and take a look. Located in the Introduction section of the book is a page labeled "Read This First, Before Something Bad Happens", it's a get you're attention kind of title. He explains in the 5 pages that follow why he arrived at writing this book. When I was finished I new right then and there this was going to be a good investment! I'll say it right now. This is the best digital photographer help book I have ever owned.period. There are 12 chapters in all, from the new browser, to fixing image problems with digital cameras, to color correcting and retouching photographs and much more. All of the steps provided in this book are for those with basic skills and the pro user.everyone benefits. The knowledge I gained from this book has made the whole process of the digital flow easier and fun to use. I print my images now with greater confidence than before with better results.thank you Scott Kellby for producing this book. If you're heavy into digital photography, you probably already own this book. If not, I encourage you click on the link below and order it right now.
